6x6 greenhouses are an excellent choice for the typical gardener who is looking to grow their own without taking up too much space. Our 6x6 range comes with free UK delivery.

We have a range of 6ft x 6ft aluminium greenhouses from top brands, including the best-selling Halls Popular range, the fantastic new Zero threshold Eden Burford, and a range of suitable Elite greenhouses.

If you are looking for a wooden 6ft by 6ft greenhouse, then choose from Swallow and Clearview, who offer an excellent choice of greenhouses with installation included.

Types of 6x6 Greenhouses

6x6 Potting Sheds

A 6x6 potting shed is ideal when you want the practicality of a shed, whilst still having a space to grow your plants. The most popular 6x6 potting sheds are the Swallow 6'-8 x 6'-4 Jay Potting Shed and the Clearview 6'-8" x 6'-4" Oxfordshire. Some people choose to use a potting shed like a summerhouse.

6x6 Wooden Greenhouses

A 6x6 treated wooden greenhouse is very popular due to its durability and traditional style. The three most popular 6x6 wooden greenhouses are the Swallow 6'-8 x 6'-4 Kingfisher, the Clearview 6'-8" x 6'-4" Wiltshire, and the Clearview 6'-8" x 6'-4" Aylesworth.

6x6 Aluminium Greenhouses

An aluminium frame is best for low maintenance, and you can have them in either a natural silver finish, or painted in a variety of colours. The most popular 6x6 aluminium greenhouses are the 6 x 6 Halls Silver Aluminium Popular and the 6x6 Halls Cotswold Eden Burford. They tend to come with a single sliding door at the front.

6x6 Lean to Greenhouses

A 6x6 lean to greenhouse is ideal when you have a narrow space to fit a greenhouse, so a free-standing option wouldn't be practical. This makes a 6x6 lean a less popular option, but we stock the 6x6 Elite Kensington Lean To, available in an Aluminium and Painted finish.

6x6 Greenhouse Glazing

Greenhouse glazing lets the sunlight through and helps keep the greenhouse warm while protecting the plants from the colder weather and air outside.

Our entire range has glazing options to customise them as you wish; see more details about each type below.

Toughened Glass

Toughened safety glass is by far the most popular option for 6x6 greenhouse glazing, as it has the visual appeal of transparent glass, without the safety concerns of dangerous shattering (as it granulates into tiny pieces).

Horticultural Glass

Horticultural glass is the cheapest option, so it's best for those on a budget. You have to consider that broken horticultural glass will shatter into dangerous sharp pieces.

Polycarbonate Glazing

Polycarbonate glazing is the safest option, as it's plastic so that it won't shatter into dangerous pieces. It’s made from good quality twin walled 6mm polycarbonate panels. The downside of a polycarbonate greenhouse is it isn't completely transparent, so it doesn't offer the most visually appealing greenhouse, and doesn't let as much light in for plants. It's ideal for use outdoors in public areas, where there are threats of vandalism.

What Can You Grow in a 6x6 Greenhouse?

A 6X6 greenhouse is 36 square feet and can hold up to 48 plants or 12 trays. They typically have 1-2 vents, as well as one main sliding door at the front, and can handle the average persons' gardening needs.

A 6x6 greenhouse should be large enough to grow all plants, flowers, and trees. They provide plenty of space both on the ground and upright on benches to grow and pot on seedlings.

Using a greenhouse will help you produce lush, healthy, leafy, and vibrant plants every year, ideal for budding gardeners.

Other Options

You can customise your greenhouse with auto roof vents, shelving, gutters, and door configurations on the product page itself.

You may wish to purchase insulation, a heater, and other accessories to go along with your greenhouse, such as a watering system. These will help you to control the temperature and humidity within your greenhouse.
