New to the Swallow range of thermowood greenhouses is the Victorian style 8x15 (nearly 16ft) Eagle, this imposing greenhouse has been designed to offer a traditional look made with modern day methods delivered and installed straight from Swallow's Yorkshire factory. With a magnificent 3 meter high roof at a steep angle combined with narrow 15" wide glass panes throughout, Iron handles and full length of cresting with a high boarded bottom this is a stunning greenhouse.

Swallow 8x15 Eagle greenhouses are traditionally built using Thermowood glazing bars of a sturdy 58mm x 32mm thickness. Thermowood is a heat treated timber that is extremely strong and long lasting with an attractive even finish, the process removes moisture and resin leaving a tight grain which is extremely resistant to the weather and perfect for outdoor buildings. Some of the features that are included in the price are:-

Swallow greenhouses have a high eaves height for more comfortable working space, are boarded around the bottom (can be adjusted for a dwarf wall) and can be purchased with the attractive natural thermowood finish or you can choose to have your greenhouse painted in a choice of high quality colours See Below.

All Swallow greenhouses are now made from Thermowood.

Heat and steam are used to thermally modify the wood to produce an exceptionally strong and durable wood that is perfect for outdoor use.
This process is achieved using natural methods and is non-toxic and chemical free, with one of the many benefits being improved insulation well suited for greenhouses.
After treatment the wood is a beautiful consistent colour that will last far longer than normal treated timber.

Painted Finish Options

Below we have examples of the 4 original paint finishes on offer.
Swallow have their own spray booth facility, the advantage of Swallow painting your greenhouse is that the painting is undertaken before glazing which leaves a seamless finish.
The highest quality water borne acrylic protective paint is used, which has a flexible microporous protective film. This means it is resistant to bacterial mould and UV attack.

Swallow greenhouses are delivered and installed at the same time by Swallow. A firm and level base area will need to be ready such as slabs, concrete, decking, sleepers or similar.

Boarded

Choose to have your greenhouse fully boarded around the bottom or choose to build a dwarf wall to replace the bottom boarding, a window cill style bottom will be made and a wall plan emailed to you to give to your builder.

Perfect for all those pots and tools you can choose to add an extra shelf which runs the whole length of your greenhouse.
